Simon Pook

Simon has represented clients in all areas relating to prisoners' rights. He has an exceptional record at defending people on adjudications and is gaining an excellent reputation on parole board matters. He has been involved in a number of Judicial Review cases and is particularly able with unusual and technical areas that other lawyers may shy away from. He has an excellent reputation in defending the right to peaceful protest and specialises in public order matters. He often acts as a Legal Observer at political demonstrations. More recently he has developed an interest in poaching cases by defending charges brought by the Environment Agency. He has enjoyed great success with such matters attracting significant media attention.

Simon has been heavily involved defending persons facing criminal charges out of anti-fracking and anti-fascist demonstrations across the UK.

In addition, Simon successfully brought an appeal using the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora (CITES), related European and domestic legislation of registering wild birds and artificially propagated progeny resulting in Article 10s being issued.
